wonder whata zs would do round the top gear track? been reading up that top gear tested a zt190 as well as a 260 and the 190 did it in 1.33 same time as the 260. hears what used to be on the top gear site

if a zt could beat all the other hot hatches shows what a zs could as it surely faster round a track. answers alot of arguments about mgs not being as fast as other hot hatchs in my opinion!

it is an old list as they took the 190 off as it was the same time as the 260, well it was 0.3 of a second faster. thats why i had to dig out an old list.

how do you know they tested a zt 190, i wouldnt expect that to be as quick as the 260 !!!
zs would be about 1.35 imo, just a bit behind the clio 182 which is a nadge quicker round a lap standard.
That list is a little misleading as some of those times are wet times.

I might be in for a flaming here but I actually think the ZT has better handling than a ZS, however, the ZS is definitely quicker in a straight line, so on balance I dont think there would be much difference if it were a handling biased track rather than power biased.

My ZT was definitely quicker than a Clio 182 aroud Bedford, but that might just be that the Clio driver wasnt trying as hard. It needs a back-to-back test with the same driver in each car, but I bet there isn't much in it.

It might seem improbable but with crappy tyres I caught a hard driven M3 at Bedford - see the vid on YouTube.

That list is a little misleading as some of those times are wet times.

Not really dave as there is a place to tick to exclude wet lap times.

yeah i meant the original list in post 1 which includes time for maserastis etc which are slower than the mg zt, which is not possible unless the track was wet.
