I got in touch with a company about an exhaust system for my Rover Coupe and MG ZS180
I voiced my concerns about the warranty on the ZS and attached is my reply from them........ SPOT THE MISTAKE!!!!

Thank you for your email.

We specialise in ~~~~~~~~ custom built and fitted exhausts, on any car, in best quality 304, non-ferretic stainless steel.

This unique service gives the customer a complete choice of style and sound for his exhaust, which comes with a life of the car guarantee.

The average time taken to craft and fit a system is 3 hours, by appointment at a ######## centre. You would need to bring your car to our ######### centre at Falfield, just north of Bristol, 2 minutes from junction 14 of the M5. We do have a courtesy car available while the work is being done. Or in our South London centre at Carshalton.

The price for a high quality, custom built Longlife 304 stainless steel system, for your Rover Coupe, from the existing CAT as you require, would be circa £334, including fitting and VAT, with a 3” rolled out polished stainless tail pipe. A back box only would be £220.

We have fitted Longlife systems on several new MG ZS. We have cleared the warranty business with B.M.W, and as long as we do not modify the body work or existing hangers in any way, they are happy. The total cost would be £380. The car will sound better, go better, use less fuel, and the style will be improved.

We have a large selection of special tail pipes, from 2.25” to 4” rolled out, 2.25” to 5” rolled in, various ovals, letterbox square oval, DTM etc., which would be at extra cost, from £15 up to £95.

All our systems are free-flow and the main gain you can expect with a complete system, is to improve fuel economy by approximately 10%, because the engine will breathe better. The engine will produce between 4% to 8% more BHP and the torque will increase by 2% to 4%.

If you would like any further information please ring me on freephone
000000000000. You may like to look at our new website www.########.uk.com if you have not already done so.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Regards.

Dunno how much I'd trust them then. I contacted the very same company (well I presume it is as the location is the same :D) regarding a stainless system on the ZT.

So they think the MGR make the ZT and *** make the ZS eh? :)

WHEN I QUESTION THE WARRANTY AND BEEMER THIS WAS THE REPLY:

Thank you for your email.

Sorry for the confusion.

Ann should have said a *** new Mini. The warranty conditions laid down
by
*** are the same for Rover now as they were when owned by ***, and
since we
do not modify the car in any way, there is no problem with fitting an
aftermarket exhaust.

Hope to hear from you soon. If you would like to discuss this do ring
me on
freephone

WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK?
ANY ROVER BODS OUT THERE WHO CAN SHED LIGHT?
