My drivers side headlight stopped working last night and on closer inspection I noticed that the 'after market' bulb I had put in must be burning to hot and has bloody welded the connector onto the end of the bulb totally ruining it.

I am off to the scrappy today and I need to know if any MGR connector will fit or if any car with an H7 bulb will have the same wiring connector?
I am in need of some help please people!

These are the bulbs if anyone wants to avoid them:

This posses an interesting question. are 55w bulbs to hot? what would they have done to the fragile MK2 plastic lense if they get hot enough to fuse metal.

If getting an aftermarket HID kit would you be better off with 35w bulbs?

Oh yeah, just snip the connectors from any car that uses a h7 bulb and solder into your existing wires.

Thanks guys, took one from a 400 today and didn't have my soldering iron so just connected them by hand and with insulation tape. Works a treat and bought some better quality bulbs from a proper shop too!

Thanks for the info chaps :)
