I much prefer the old style comic ie: Ken Dodd/Freddy Starr/Tommy Cooper etc but nowadays Rhod Gilbert really makes me laugh.:)

At the moment i really like Micheal Mcintyre, Bill Bailey, Frankie Boyle, Lee Evans, Russell Howard, Sean Lock, Shappi Khorsandi and Lee Mack. Thats just the tip of the proverbial iceberg but they are my flavour of the 'month' at the moment.

Seem him a few times and found him very funny

His explanation of divorce - one day you wake up, look at your wife, and decide it would be better if you just **** off and live somewhere else

Dont know if its my age but none of the "new" comedians do it for me.

Now to see Ken Dodd on stage was a real eye opener, never really liked him until I saw a show of his at the Pavillion in Bournemouth.

None stop laughs and all cleanish, all his shows overrun, and he did say, anyone for the last bus home had better leave. He just carried on, great value for money.

I've been trying to find a video of when he was on about old rotary telephones that has letters on them as if you could do text messages on them !

They are all good.

Frankie Boyle is hilarious, his whole outlook on life.
Did you see when Russell Howard did "Family Planning The Musical" on his show ?

Shame Frankie Boyle is giving up stand up completely soon, i was mortified when he left Mock the Week.

Ross Noble is worth a go if you like the bizarre (I do)....I missed out on Frankie Boyle tickets sadly and now you tell me hes giving up standup!! ****** :( Got tickets to see Peter Kay....he has one last chance to prove to me he hasn't totally sold out. Milton Burn is a lore unto himself, total legend. Merican wise, Reg Dwight and Rich Hall amuse me. :)

I don't know when he's giving it up but he has gone on record (Friday Night with Jonathan Ross) saying that he plans to give it all up completely and disappear!!

Some one i forgot to mention who did a few slots on Mock the Week and was very funny, even had Frankie laughing loudly is Stewart Francis

Have to agree with peterzs here. None of the modern day acts do it for me either. They are very clever and funny but none actually make me laugh as Freddy Starr used to. But even he'd lost it in his latter years. I used to cry laughing at him.
