Well at last the ZR is finished and ready for track at last :D Car performed like a champ for 2 hours on the rolling road even at 7250 rpm with no leaks, high pressures, high temps or any other problems to report what so ever. So for the numbers 157.2 bhp and 148.9 ft.lbs, ok not much difference so not worth the time and £2000 odd put into it you might think but not from my point of view. Now superposed stock is 158 bhp and 128ft.lbs for the ZR160 and on Emeralds web site a Lotus 111S with a race exhaust and cat which they mapped themselves made 160.7bhp and 134 ft.lbs so my 148.ft.lbs of talk is looking quite good and the most important thing is it feels a LOT better in mid range than it did stock :) lets not forget other than the throttle bodies it is a standard car nothing else has been changed from the Rover spec. And too know a engine that you rebuilt from a bear block in the kitchen and refitted on your drive is making good numbers and didnt blow up is a good pat on the back id say, not to mention a wiring loom you built your self and all the other things along the way as to say im happy is a understatement and the flat shift is SWEEET defo worth the time putting that in. Anyway heres a few pics and a video.....

Ok quick update, for the first time 6 odd years of doing trackdays on Monday i had car problems  Dont know why but i knew something was going to go wrong so i only booked the afternoon at half price thank god. Everything was ok for 10mins or so then car lost power and would only rev to 6000rpm so came into pits and the VVC unit was rattling like nothing you ever heard before  Went back out with the + and - solenoids disconnected but that made the performance even worse so decided to call in a day and not make it any worse. Popped cam cover off today defo no oil problems so thats good, been on phone to piper today but still not to sure if fancy paying out £1300+vat odd for the VVC delete kit to be honest so im left with the options of replacing the VVC parts, going piper route or maybe put on a normal 1.8 head with the piper fast road cams..... Will sleep on it for a few nights
