Picked out a few interesting articles in this magazine.

a. Mosport Park, Canada. Lined up under a pace car in the Canadian Grand Prix in 1973 are perhaps 10 Grand Prix cars running under a Pace Car Situation (heavy rain). In the background is a billboard with the MG Logo (massive)

b. A picture of Carlos Sainz having a test in a 1982 Williams (the year Keke Rosberg won the World Championship) to celebrate his 40th birthday, a present from his Spanish friend Joachim Folch(perhaps not spelt right). On the side pod is the logo of ROVER.

c. Under the banner of Modern Times by Simon Taylor is a picture of the Toyota Grand Prix car driven by Scotsman Allan McNish. Depicted on the mirrors looks like the letters BMC. Could it be that BMC are alive and kicking and sponsoring Toyota!

d. Advertised is an Ex Andy Rouse Vitesse, actuall car that he won the 1984 BTCC Championship. The car seems to have a wealth of pedigree having also raced at Bathurst. Was this the Tim Slako or Donnelly Vitesse that ran in the 1986 event. Can anyone shed any light on the subject. Car is available to view in ............................................................................................................................................................................. Australia.

e. Suprisingly the Ex Works Mini Cooper advertised for £70,000 some months back has still not sold. Neither has Pondy's TR7 V8 at nearly £40K.

Refering to point d.

After a lot of research from books etc I do believe I have the answers. Extreme you might beable to verify if this is right.

2 Rover Vitesses' entered in the Bathurst 1000kms. One is entered for John Donelly/Simon Harrex (colour red). This car was built locally in Australia and with technical assistance from the boys at Kidlington - TWR.

The other car is the Tim Slako/Geoff Leeds Rover. Sprayed pink (pink pig). This was an Ex Andy Rouse car which was used in the 1984 BTCC Championship and which won the Championship. It was shipped out from the UK for the 1985 Bathurst and campaigned again for the 1986 race. Badly stoved in "on the mountain" when Geoff Leeds lost it. The car was straightened and took the race. I think this is the same car.
