Nice job there mate, I did something similar with mine. Used an RJ45 coupler to extend the cable. How did you get it to stay in the headlining?

thanks, i fed the network cable up the inside of the A post cover and then under the roof lining. then just poked it out where i needed it to be. The scangauge cable is coiled up under the centre console and i bought a female to female ethernet cable connector for 99p off the bay to join the two together. two cable ties under the dash were used to tidy up any hanging cables.

The difficult bit is fastening the bracket to the mirror. two thick washers were shaped to match the profile of the mirror and screwed in place.
