Hi guy`s, can anyone give some advice.
I have a 2001 ZT-T 190, and yesterday i noticed the temp gauge shot straight up to max, but as soon as i noticed, it seemed to drop down.
A short time later, it did the same, and dropped again.
This continued to happen for the next few miles, untill i reached home.Car had only covered 5 miles from cold overnight start.
Tried today, and same thing happened, but this time, it stayed on max.
Got it home, with no apparent problems, but not really sure where to start, electrical prob, fan, thermostat??????
Any help appreciated.

I had the same issue my 220 gti turbo a few years back turned out i had a tiny leak on the rad which caused air to get into the system causing the temp to go from hot to cold back to cold then to hot i would check your water level if low might be worth puttin a tub of rad weld into the coolant and running the car with the lid off the water bottle and heater on full for 10 mins then turn of the car let it cool down with the lid still off the water bottle aftering 15min put the lid back on the water bottle after makin sure the water level in fine and take the car for a spin and see how it is
