GUY'S HELP ME!!!

Ive got a Rover 214i 16valve. When i start from cold, a loud tapping can be heard from the engine, which sounds like tappets. It lasts for about 7-10 secs then it goes and comes back again once the engine has warmed up. Ive been to my local dealer but they said where it has had 6 oil changes in 18000 miles, the inside of the engine is clean, therefore the oil runs out of the tappets quicker. I don't want this noise to still be there when i come to sell it and Buy an MG.

It's driving me nuts!!!

Can anyone help. Any remodies or solutions? Is there anything i can put in the engine to stop it? I'm running out of patience.

Cheers
