Well I've decided not to sorn the old girl. So I've just taxed her for another six months. I put her away from end december until 1st april last year covered up in a dark damp council garage. Well for the sake of £138 odd I don't think its worth it from 1st oct until april 11 as she will come out damp and grotty after an even longer period. I will just put her away when the weather looks like crap for a week or so when required. But at the moment she's out on the mother in laws drive until I shift the gsi corsa & or my pug 106

Anything you have to do to the car when storing it away?

Well last year was just 16 weeks so I only took battery off and kept it at home on trickle. Covered her really well and left the handbrake off. If I did it now it would be for much longer and tbh isn't worth the hassle.

Just got her off the mother in laws drive and back in the lock up due to weather. The Corsa GSi is now on the drive with a big for sale sign on her as I am owed some money.

Got the zed back out just now as just sold the pug 106 to a punter who took it there and then. Suggested to my lad that we tax the Corsa GSi, put two new tyres up front and I drive the little skate board to sell it with ads in the window. Cheeky sod wanted me to foot the bill for tax & tyres though.

I'm so lucky I get to put the zed away for a week or so at a time, because when I get my arse back in it I thouroughly enjoy it all over again and realise just how good she is. Had a lovely run in to work this morning. Only a few miles and nothing over 60mph, but with the re map and that moist air she really felt great.
