I've been blogging for a few months, mainly technology (current hot topic is Windows Phone 7 since getting myself one of those) but sometimes I go off topic onto cars and (strangely) de-industrialisation.

Please take a look and if it's your sort of thing I'd really appreciate some follows (button at top of page on right).

I'm in the middle of a series on the decline Detroit too and am nearly finished on the part about the auto industry.

Thanks folks.

Is there a specific subject theme?
No not one specific thing, it's pretty much what I said above really :)

Edit: there's a picture of a Rover P5B on the latest post :)
Just got the site design live after lots of work (it was a stripped back plain text theme beforehand). I've done some graphics and font work on it now :)
I suck at web design but wordpress has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me. Which theme is that you're using? It's very tidy looking. Looks like you've tweaked a bit.
yeah i think this is a good start - keep it up!

Hi

I will have a look over New Year when I get the chance. See if I can Tweet some links. Have been toying with this idea myself ( for about 8 years :) ) In my case it would be Apple Macs, Design, Graphics, Illustration, Web Support from a user journey perspective i.e. I wouldn't go looking for things to write about necessarily, rather make a post when I am confronted with an issue (like my iPad stalling at iOS 9 - what to do) and how I solve it.

I've been a graphic designer for 20 years this year and my interest started out of necessity - at UNi the Windows technicians refused to service the Macs (same old, same old) so I phoned up Apple UK and suggested I do it (for the Art College Bradford, BICC) - they said yes and gave me two Macs for free to start me off... really. Within 18 months we had 8 Macs, a high printer, scanner and a network to manage, largely paid for through out of hours commercial work. This was around '94? ish - Mac llx / Centris.

I've been running studios and maintaining / fixing Macs for all that period*, self taught, gained a lot from forums and I post solutions / fixes ad hoc on several boards - would be nice to have all my thoughts in one place.

* Just bought a mint iPad 2 32GB cellular Apple jail broken (any carrier) for £100 today - still runs iOS 9, Netflix, Sky majority of Apple Store apps. £600+ new but people get lazy and cannot be bothered to upgrade them.

Anyhows, I might add a little about cars (I maintain the Zed mostly myself) and music ( I am a self confessed MOD) - shall have a think.

Thanks for this inspiration.
