What are they for the Stang lump. Loads of people get it done every 5000 miles!?!?!? I would have though an American engine would have longer intervals than that seen as they have roads that are as long as that.

Well, I got mine done at Austin Garages, but as long as you can get under them, an oil change shouldn't be an issue and accessing the engine isn't a problem either!

I'd just suggest that unless the car hasn't got FSH anyway, I'd get it done at a garage / specialist instead.

I'd certainly think twice of buying a 260 with patching service history, but that's just me!

Well i was considering a 260 but with running costs as high as an EVO i don't think a 260 is for me.

Yeah, other than the oil & filter change every 6 months, its not really too dissimilar to any other ZT really.

Fuel consumption of course is another issue ;)

Although, joking aside, if you do mainly motorway miles, the 260 could work out more economical than a 190, the 190 is actually slightly worse on the motorway. I got 28mpg out of mine on a run down to Spain.

2 sevices a year is too many when it would only do about 8K a year. I would get a ZT derv but it's next to impossible to find one with all the toys and decent milage.

Servicing is oil and filter every 5000 miles and a big service at 15000 miles. No where near the cost of an evo (every 3000 miles?). Also don't forget, because the MG ZT260 is on a service counter, then it means three services every 2 years based on your 8000 miles per annum. As for the fuel? I did once get 26.26mpg, but that was real real steady!!

Does the SV-R follow the same service schedule out of interest?

Rumour control........ :)

EVO - VI to IX service intervals are 4,500 miles. Never cost me more than £200 a time.

SV I had was 5,000 and the ZT260 the same (mainly for an oil change except for the annual). Goose and the boys have explained it. No major difference than an EVO VI to IX to be honest.

BTW: latest EVO X is 10,000 miles. :)

BTW: Noticed your green SVR in EVO.
