The time has come to move on my 200vi.............

Specs:
1997 3 door200vi in Platinum Silver
118k miles
fitted with electric sunroof and aircon (needs a re-gas but compressor works)
1.8 VVC K series
Janspeed stainless ZR160 exhaust system including JS Manifold
Janspeed ZR160 twin exit catback+ JS Sportscat
52mm alloy TB with ITG Maxogen induction fitted
AP racing performance clutch fitted to go with the 'box rebuild
gearbox rebuilt and fitted with a Quaife ATB differential
standard 15" vi wheels refurbished by The Wheel Specialist in silver grey
Toyo Proxes T1R's 205/50/15" fitted
lowered 35mm on Monroe and KYB shocks and Kilen Red sports springs
Front seats from a Tomcat coupe, rear 2 seat bench from a Rover Streetwise
heated electric mirrors from a ZR
Decent little road rocket, still looks like a 200vi not a ZR rep for added surprise factor.
Not perfect - bit of rot around rear arches and on sunroof but would make someone a nice fast road or track toy.
Tax until 30-06-2011
MoT 20-07-2011
Dyno proven 155bhp /125lbft as a result of mods. Still running MEMS2 ECU
Offers around £1k considered as need this car gone

Looks nice, clean the interior though!
These are old pics of the interior just after it went in. The bench seat had been sat in a breaker's warehouse for a while - it is cleaner now. I will get some better pics up at the weekend:oops:

Still a lot of car for the money..........

Yep thats the one................:gfight: it belongs to my neighbour and the blue flowers hide a dodgy respray on the rear quarter panel..............

She's just passed her test and her BF bought it for her.

More or less 160 spec..................it still runs it's 143VVC engine but the breathing mods have freed up 10bhp, and a ZR160 puts out 156bhp standard.

I was also talking to RallyMatt about converting to a ZR160 head - which would mean a remap would be possible(Z and F ).................and the vi weighs less than a ZR to start with

I absolutely agree with you. The dif alone is worth the money. I don't have the asking price at the moment so I wasn't going to haggle and mess anyone around.

I'm saving around £150 a month towards something like this but I spose I was aiming to get something really cheap and start from scratch. It would make financial sense to get something half (or more) sorted like this one but like I said - I'm not at the £1000 mark yet.

I am trying very hard to convince the GF that she really wants a nice little VI to replace her knackered 206......

Lol - sadly this isn't a nice docile vi, this is a Pepperami of a machine!
It shouts lots and goes fairly quickly!

Not quite as hard core as a ZR but it does have a heavy clutch pedal and lowered ride.
I love it, but it encourages you to be naughty...............:stir:

Then again, if you bought it - Matt does know all about it for servicing etc..................

yeah, i would be more than happy t have it as the 2nd car in the house, and would not mind when mine is away.... however the GF veto'd it as it doesn't have enough doors apparently.... sorry!

thought about getting it just for me, but i got enough costs with the derv to really warrant another fun little car :)

I am surprised it aint gone at that price... seeing as the diff itself is 2/3 the price of the whole car new!
