Reading this months edition of MotorSport (March 2002) noticed a dealer selling a TR7 V8. The car is UYH 863S as featured in Bill Price's excellent book.

Driven to outright victory by no other than the Late Great Tony Pond on the Manx. Think the car was also 2nd at Ypres. Other drivers to compete in the car were Terry Kaby and Graham Elsmore.
Price for this piece if history £39,995!

More details on www.sherwoodrestorations.co.uk

Also within the pages was a Ex works Mini Cooper LRX 827E driven by Paddy Hopkirk, Tony Fall and Timo Makinen. Yours for £70K.

Think I'd go for the TR7 V8. Cheaper and more fun!

If only us mere mortals had the funds to aquire such pieces of history.

Even if I could afford this type of car I would be looking something else as well, to use on an everyday basis.

A car like these would be, for me at least, used only when the weather, roads, time and my own attitude were right.
