Still plodding along, need to do some reworking of the brake/clutch lines which is a right pain in the neck but we want to do it right!

Still here's a gratuitous bum shot in the meantime...

So while everyone was enjoying themselves at PoL I spent a few hours up at the unit amongst other jobs and managed to get a few things done, chief of which was firmly doing up the gearbox.

Also fitted the starter motor and connected wires...

Fitted bell housing dust covers...

Need to wire in the speedo sensor...

Prop shaft fitted...

Fitted the exhaust...

So not a lot left. Got to fit the new brake and clutch master cylinders and reservoir, connect and bleed them, finish painting the cam cover and fit and then that's about it before we put in oil, coolant, load on the map and start her up. Then got to finally fit the drivers side front wing as it'll be off the lift.

Not far to go now!

More tinkering with the brakes and clutch this weekend, managed to fit the new cylinders and hosing so just need to tighten it all up and bleed them all again. Also managed to wire in the speedo and rewire the brake light switch, so that's all the wiring done (touch wood)!!

Old clutch master cylinder...

New clutch master cylinder and reservoir and the remote reservoir for the brakes...

Lots of new piping, still needs tidying...

Also painted the cam cover in high temp paint...

Speedo all fitted back in and wired up...

So this weekend, tinkering on the B. Clutch and brakes all bled now, whoot!

Refitted the bellhousing plate...

Fitted the cam cover...

Introduced some technology to the old girl...

Gave her some blood...

Got some wheels back on...

In the words of Star Wars...."Almost there!"

Thanks guys. There's been a halt on proceedings at the moment due to illness but hopefully we'll have her up and running in a few weeks time!

VROOM!!

Well she only bloody started today!

No pics or vids I'm afraid as that'll happen when she's mapped properly, but after a lot of ballache with wiring and sensors, etc, she's now running. Sounds fapping awesome as well so I'm well chuffed :D

Long time without a proper update as life has generally got in the way.

So where's she at....running properly now, had to reroute some of the fuel system, had to get one of the catch tanks we had made rewelded and the latest was to take off the front cross member to modify some more and give more clearance for the oil take-offs, etc.

Wiring is all tidied up now...

Cross member off...

Had to cut out a fair bit more...

Made up some new plates to go in...

Welding goodness...

And all painted....

Now the unit is pretty packed!!

The front end is all back together now, so close to finishing her it's ridiculous! Just have to make a new bracket to mount a new brake master cylinder, we've decided to separate the fronts and rears, and then bleed her again. Then mapping!!

So some photos from the weekend...

Cross member and suspension all back on...

Plenty of clearance for the oil take-off now...

And she's looking awesome!!

job very well done...amazing !, personally id prefer the rear end to look more standard but as its a track car then fair enough.

Thank you. It's definitely not standard anymore at the rear and the look will divide opinion, but that's what we were aiming for.

Stunning

but then it should be after all the work you've put in.
