Im in negotiations with a colleague for possible group buy discounts on Tyres and Alloy wheels and at the moment I would just like to check the water out there to see if anyone would be interested, as far as I know at the moment is that he can get hold of mosts tyres and sizes out there and at considerable cheaper prices than the likes of most tyre garages etc... As for the alloys he does all sizes and shapes . So if you could please register your interest on this thread then I will go ahead with it.

Tyres are something that everyone will need eventually, but will all need at different times!

What would be great is if we could secure a perminent discount, rather than a single shot bulk purchase one?

I'm certainly dreading spending out £180 per tyre when they need replacing, but they're nearly new now (and I dont have the dosh) so its a no-go for me at this time.

Guys, what I have done at the moments is sent a list of tyre sizes that are on the standard wheels of the MGF & TF and the Zed range, if anyone wants any other tyre sizes outside this range please add to the thread or PM me. Below is a list that I have put together, please give me a shout if I have missed any off!!!

Oooh thats made me think about what size my tyres are... I thought my old ZR (hairpins) were 205/45/ZR16 in size?

Must check new car, as I naturally assumed I had 205/40/17, which isnt on your list! :blush

Isnt a a 215/40/17 a cheaper more widely available substitute for 205/45/17s ??? And they are a nats knacker wider as well, which is a bonus.

I fancy some toyos myself...the thing is for this group buy / discount to work out it has to be cheaper than some of the internet mail order suppliers to make it worth anyones while i would have thought, thats where i would draw my comparison.

195/45/16 - £51 + VAT
205/50/16 - £78 + VAT
215/45/16 - £75 + VAT for Pirelli P7000 ZR

205/45/17 - £88 + VAT for Bridgestone RE040

225/45/18 - will get back to you on this

No its £3.50 per tyre, so that £7. So do you defo want me to order them? If so PM me with your address for delivery, as for meeting up to pass on the tyres, where Planet Zargon? I suppose if the distance isnt to far we could meet up but I think the delivery would be a cheaper method.
