Yes - they are made of slightly different plastics. However, there is a solution to this. SImply get the whole dashboard covered in leather!!

Damp sponge to clean the scuff marks off.

That's an extravagent way of sorting the problem! Looks nice though.

Extravagant!?! You haven't seen SF or my car up close ...

We sponge the marks - but they tend to be a little stubborn at times. Especially when they who care not travel with us - teenage kids.

Need one of those dish scourer ones with the sponge on one side and a scourer on the other. Use the scourer on the more difficult marks (but not too hard or you'll mark the car). Then get some brillo pads and use them on the kids which will enlighten them as to why they should not commit such a heinous crime again!!!
