If my purchase is successful:

Thing I'll be buying MG7 rear lights (well maybe). If so where do you buy them from.

Trawling the net - there seems to be some parts that you need as a back-up.

So will stock these for myself.

  • Rear Springs
  • Top Hose
  • Brake Discs

Will add to the list as necessary

Doesn't appear to be anything that will be a stopper if my purchase goes through.
Best joining the TwoSixties, or/& the 75/ZT forum, huge amounts of info there.
Andy, none of its rocket science. There are two very good specific 75 Forums out there.

However, armed with a computer you can solve most issues.

so much easier and cheaper being a Two-Sixties full member Jerry / Wildrover (your non full member username on the Two-Sixties)

:)
Thanks Colin Murrell - are you on commission? :)

If I buy a car - I would prefer all my personal details to remain so. I do not want my address and VIN to be catalogued on a database - managed by someone I don't know. If the rules were changed I would join....

I do know that any parts needed are readily available and always will be - would you not agree?

Totally agree Jerry, but if you are referring to the Two-Sixties site I don't think the Two-Sixties catalogue anything on a database unless you want them to. It's entirely up to you whether or not you provide your VIN/photos for inclusion in the Pictorial Record on the Two-Sixties site but no personal details are attached and in most cases not even the owner is identified, just a photo of your car with the last three digits of your VIN. I am as paranoid as anyone about keeping my personal details out of the public domain. I have been a member of the Two-Sixties since its inception and have never had to provide my address, what rules are you referring to?

really not sure what rules you are reffering to there Jerry??

And to your last point, answer I believe is no!

:)
I agree Mr Murrell, that parts will not always be available, cars are finite and eventually go to the big scrap yard in the sky. Personally except for the two 6R4's bought in the last 20 years - all my cars have been new and sold before three years and thus never had problems. However, even the 6R4's were well supported and club membership never kept those on the road - just hard cash.

BTW - the two-sixties Forum has a problem with its Vbulletin Database at the moment. I hope its just an upgrade hiccup. Been there the last couple of weeks - low life HACKERS took a VB based website down. Managed to recover it - by restoring a back-up and using the latest VB software on Version 4.

What rules???????????

Nich.
OK read Requirements instead of Rules for VIN and personal details. Hey no worries, I'm happy as is. This is not a problem for me and it's not for you as you are already a member. Live and let live.

I'm sure we'll meet and have a chinwag at some point.

Look forward to it Jerry, shared passion and all that.

Great shame, you could be such an asset to a great forum.

Nich.
You know me Jerry :)

All details relating to you and the car stay with me, the lists on the forum are voluntary, no one else has the main database. On a few occasions I have had requests from new owners to contact previous owners with questions and every time, once approval is confirmed, pasted e-mails on to allow contact.

You are welcome to become an owner member and will notice the benefit. I think we are the only people stocking new replacement rear discs less than £380 a set, plus the heater valve and top hose up-grades.

Word of warning; if you do go it alone, traders don't understand the difference between FWD ZT's and the V8.

Eaten my words and yes the Forum is a great asset, but it is 6 years later.....took me nearly that long to buy a ZT260 and now I find out they are falling apart...... :)
