Ross, I've been looking at s2000's and turbo kits. They seem to hold together these s2000s. There was one for sale with std bottom end and 720bhp!
Most seem to go to 400bhp and stay reliable.... What's your take?
A screaming s2000 lump with a smallish turbo in a zs... That would be nice

its only for a laugh dave, no serious racing.
Tbh i only want to see what terminal speed my bus will pull, i wont be trying to launch a 7 seater mpv !!....im hoping it will pull 102 ish so thats all im hoping for, its deffinitely quicker than my kv6 zs was but as i said the zs got away well , the bus will not.......so time is irrelevant for me.

I know, only kidding.
It should be interesting to see what happens.
I exspect mine to run around a low 14

is it modified ?

Only lightly.
Full exhaust, manis decat, flywheel, diff, pro race 1.2, induction and full fat interior! (Light front seats)
Most of the important things to get it off the line.
My old blue one did a 13.7 iirc with Ross. That had cams and less weight. So I'm exspecting this to be a good 0.5+ slower on the 1/4 mile

Rear jacked up and firm, forcing more weight on the front wheels will help traction off the line.

really? engine is pretty standard no cams or anything....seems like a very quick time .

?? If you don't have cams you would be around 190-195bhp on a good day. Cammed cars make around 210

think i pulled 100 in Dave's old car.

might be wrong mind as It was a few years ago

one thing i do remember is the car was dead sluggish to begin with, it was a nightmare I was pulling 14.6's @ 95mph I couldn't work out what was wrong I knew it should have been faster.

I found the hose that goes from the ITG to the inner wing had come lose from the enclosed filter. I poped to halfords to try and bodge with no such luck. I eneded up driving home fixing and then driving back. The very first run I did when I got back I nailed the 13.7 I was chuffed.

I think you did, 102 from memory?? I remember you phoning me straight after the run. I remember sayin I think its good for a 13.8-13.9 when you bought it. I was well chuffed when you did .7. I wanted it back straight away
They were very lightweight wheels. I recon they were about 1kg lighter than daves pro race wheels. Which would make a little more differnce.

I'm still good for this. Was thinking of taking the 944 turbo to see what that will run the 1/4 in with the remap ... But I don't really want to break the clutch...it Blew a coolent pipe the otherday as well..doh
