Black denoted boggo standard with silver (rhodium) being the "+" models and top of range, at least with MkIs - think all MkIIs had same colour badging, IIRC

I think even the Mk1's were all the same to start off with, it was a cost-cutting measure brought in at some point.

I don't think it went down well with customers like quite a bit of the cost cutting changes, so the Mk2's changed back.

The base R & S model were black, the plus was silver and the 160/180 also had the 160/180 badge, not sure about the T.
