Route Information
Sunday May 19th - 10am start from the Heritage Museum at Gaydon. Suggest we meet at the top Car Park - that way we don't have to pay.
Who's welcome? Anyone - especially if they have an MG.
I've had a chance to dig out the information on the MGF Press Route.
Last time we did it we did a shortened version as we tacked it on to the MG Day at Gaydon in 1998.
As we have go more time we can go for a version of the whole route. the good news is that it means more driving. the bad news is that as I haven't driven the route (and won't get a chance before 19th May) I have not idea how far it is or how long it will take us. At least the nights will be lighter
Heres the route - its a version of the proper one because the proper one does a lot of doubling back and driving the same roads more than once so I've amended it.
Start Gaydon
South B4100 to Drayton
At junc with A422 turn right to Pillerton Priors
After Pillerton Priors, turn right onto B4455 Fosse Way to Eathorpe
At Eathorpe, turn left through village.
Past Techspeed motorsport on the left and onto wappenbury
Turn right onto B4453 and then right on to A423
Follow A423 to and around Southam
At junction with A425, take the road to Priors Marston
Before getting to Priors Marston, taker right to Priors Hardwick
Lunch stop at Butchers Arms, Priors Hardwick
South to Aston le Walls
East to Weedon Lois
SE to Silverstone
Right onto A43 towards Bracjkley
Right onto B4525 to Banbury
TR at Middleton Cheney, go north to Cropredy, then on to Mollington.
Turn right onto A423 going north as far as Ladbroke.
Turn left towards Bishops Itchington, then Lighthorne Heath, then back to Gaydon.
I'll phocopy the relevent pages of the map book (I might even mark the route with a highlighter!). I'll also copy the pages from the Winter 97 edition of roadster - which is where I've lifted the route from

But if anyone can upload a map and trace the route on that - it would be good.
I will probably need to reserve a table at the Butchers so will need confirmation of who is attending by Monday 13th May.
So far we have:

Richard & April TF
Jerry & Max - Trophy
nn-y - err forgotten - one of them modern Zed things
