I don't know if its practical space or cost wise but the most interesting thing for me on the new GS SUV from MG...

is that it appears to have the SAIC 1.5 engine, although now with a TURBO and 168 BHP. If it were relatively simple to get the parts and add this to the MG3 1.5, you would be getting into Fiat 500 Abarth territory (1.4 twin turbo 163 HP). Where I live there is no VAT so the new 3 starts at £7200 and the MG dealer currently has a 12 month old demonstrator up for £6200... and he is an ex British motorsport guy. By all accounts the handling / grip are the best features so a big brake kit and its starting to look a little juicy.

I might just bob in and see what he has to say :) :dddc::racer:

The one at the top was built by a rally privateer in Sweden according to a web post I found (?). When he went to MG / SAIC for permission to race it they refused permission OR to get behind it as an official sponsor, one or the other. Top and bottom its currently on hold. Sounds plausible as its a cheap base car. If not its decent Photoshop (and a good story for the pub :) ).
