as above pls in silver mk 1 as close to birmingham as pos , a bonnet cable and lock because this happend. :(

Maybe u should ask for a new owner aswell. Lol. Someone who knows how to close the bonnet lol. Did u manage to get the turbo sorted

Had a similar thing happen to my MG Midget, thought I had gone up the back of a lorry that I hadnt seen.

Does give you a bit of a shock, had to knock back the panel under the windscreen, where it was bashed down by about 6".

Best of luck with the fix.

just put some new wiperblades and windscreen washers on it and now they are kaput lol

Been there twice, first time on my old VW scirroco, the catch kept on popping up and before I got around to fixing it the safty catch also failed, second time I was taking a golf from the garage I worked at to our bodyshop, the mechanic didn't tell me he'd removed the catch completly!
