I found an earlier post in this forum about a V8 conversion that mentioned using the Rover P6/SD-1 intake manifold and obtaining castings to move the SU carburettors to the back of the motor.

Does anyone know who produces these castings?

Would love to hear about it.

I'm aware of the original BL/MG "claw" casting. What I'm looking for is what Richard Day described in his posting about his V8. He used a Rover SD-1 manifold, which I understand is the same as the old P6 unit. He procurred aluminium castings which attached to the "tower" where the SU carbs mounted and which run straight to the back of the motor.

It's similar in function to the "claw" yet appears to allow more air/fuel flow.

These are the castings I'm looking for.
