My dad wont let me have a bike (even though im 21) cos he thinks i'll ride it the same as my motoX bike when I raced them
Nice bike though pal, ive been looking into doing the direct access course and getting a 600cc bike such as a CBR600 or Kwak ZX6R.

Be careful though, car drivers dont seem to be able to see bike riders coming most of the time.
My last bike was a cbr600fy. Great bike but expensive to drop with all that plastic. Had an indicated 175mph a couple of times too! :D

My 600CBR FX has been dyno'd at 111.4 bhp which is very good.

I wont see 175 even on a track, but a very good bike.

But that power is very high in the rev's

What would it be like to have that at say 5000 rpm, like a CBR 1100 Balckbird!!
As I have said the speedo is inacurate so probably no where near 175 in real speed. However the "FY" has longer gearing than the sport so is capable of going faster at the expense of acceleration. Don't know bout the "FX".

I realise peeps do tend to exagerate top speeds at times but "Safeguard" (any matelot will know what that means) 175mph WAS indicated and the world each side of me looked like warp speed in Star-Trec!

A dealer can re-mapp the engine, FOC regularly for what ever you want to do with it !!
As in make it go quicker or have more torque? Cool. I'll wait till it is run in first I think!

I'm so excited at the moment, hope it doesn't rain tommorow morning when I pick it up.

Good stuff Pete - bet you're looking foward to it! :beerchug

Does it take a little getting used to natural daylight?
it did but i'm coping quite well with the hardship of breathing fresh air, looking at the sunshine, eating fresh food, drinking more than 3 cans of beer a night, sleeping in a big bed, sleeping in my own room, having internet etc.... Oh how tough it is for you surface dwellers, I don't know how you all cope! lol

Well just over 100 miles old now. The engine has the first stage of run-in complete so I can now get upto 80mph @ 5000rpm, Another 900ish miles and I'll be on 10,000rpm. Does this mean it'll do 160mph? dddc

Whatever, I'm well impressed, it looks georgous goes like stink (well, will do) and it seems to have top-bananna build quality to match. If only MG could have learnt from Triumph maybe things would have been different now?

Mad mad bike... How are you out though ??? The weather is crap !!! The Gixxer is still wrapped up in a blanket on the paddock stands...
I used to ride all year round before I got a car, so a bit of rain or snow is not a bother!

I'll generally ride on sunny days but if I get the urge I dont care what the weatherman says.

Anyway when the roads are slippy you can have scary fun at low speeds, snaking the tail up the road and sliding round roundabouts!
