Hi, I'm not sure if this has been covered before, but what is the procedure for gearbox removal on the later type box, as fitted to post 2003 MGZR
Such as
1. how do the driveshafts come out?
2. is there any protocol for gear linkage removal, as not to disturb adjustments etc.
I'm not new to the R65/PG1, but I'll be damned if I've had anything to do with Ford 'boxes, and I don't wish to cock things up due to ignorance, and any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Brian.

Driveshafts pop out with a little help with a lever bar.

Gear change rods are a clamp arrangement, so tighten when fitted then check if all gears are selectable, re do if reverse or 1st or reverse are hard to select, i normally leave it in reverse and get a helping hand to hold the stick where reverse should be when i tighten the clamp.
