As per the title, I've finally got a confirmed buyer for my BGT so am looking in ernest for a nice ZS180 and found one on ebay not too far from where I live.... Item number: 320758187662

I've asked a few questions but the seller (who I guess is a dealer and not the previous owner) can't confirm if the cambelts were done, but based on all of the other work and history I'm guessing they may well have been. If anyone knows of the cars past etc then it would be much appriciated.

Cheers, Adam

If the service history is 'fully documented' I would expect to see an invoice for at least £500 from a reputable dealer/specialist for a cambelt change. If this isn't present the price should be adjusted down accordingly. Amazing how many sellers 'lose' such a document yet keep the receipt for some wiper blades and an air freshener from Wilko. It's not unusual to see a 180 quoted as having FSH yet all this turns out to be is an oil and filter change from a drive in service centre every twelve months.

You should never 'guess' that the cambelt change has been carried out.

"guess" was just a figure of speech :) I just ment based on the list of recipts, it would seem to have been well maintained and so is most likely to have had the belts done... I'll still check specifically first mind! The classic car garage I had do some work on my BGT has the tooling and has done a couple of belt changes on KV6's, they quoted £600 for them to do it, which I think is about the going rate. As mentioned, this will all be taken into consideration.

The car is only 20 min away so I'll most likely go have a look at the "FSH" myself before bidding or offering a price. I have asked specifically if it has been stamped by a dealer for the 90K/6yr service, just waiting a reply.

Thanks Gaz, assume that was off the DVLA website, think I had a look at that the other day, confirms that the TAX is due and that it is registered as a Blue ZS.

Been to see the car and its pretty much as described, masses of history but no cam-belt service. There is a recipt for every little bit of work ever done, so I'm guessing a £600 service would have its recipt there too had it been done. Alloys look really good in the flesh but the lack of belts, no tax and a leaking mid section on the exhaust all add up to too much to be worth while i think. The guy offered me it for £900 cash. But then add £600 (belts) £100 (exhaust mid pipe) £130 (TAX) ... also the advisories on the MOT mentioned a little play in some of the front bushes, not a big expense but a right pain to do.

On the plus side there is another zs just come up for sale on here which might be just the job :)
