Hi and welcome

What is wrong, most problems have been solved by someone,
also details of the car would help.

hey guys,
where do i start !!!! right here we go......
head gasket went so booked it into a garage for a new gasket, wen i got the car back i had a leak n no heating....so
took it back and they told me it was the stat, they fitted a new stat n me car now over heats to.....that garage couldnt help so booked it into another garage.....
had a new water pump fitted and it stopped the leak but still no heatin n car over heatin...they stripped the car down n told me only other thing it can be is heater matrix, sooo......
booked it into yet another garage as previous garages wouldnt touch it, had a new heater matrix put in and still no heating and car over heats....
the garage thats fitted the gasket wants to do a pressure test to check the gasket as all garages are tellin me it that thats the problem.....but spoke to a mg speciliest in bradford and there will t look over it if i can find a solution ( more money)....
the amount of money i have spent on garages over the last 2 months has been stupid and am no better off....any1 still any ideas?????!!!!

Take it its your ZR that is playing up, sounds like the coolant hasnt been filled up properly and you could have an air lock in the system.

They can give problems if they arnt filled and bleed to get the air out.

Did they check the head, skim it if required, multi layer head gasket, new head bolts, bottom rail.

Trouble is so many garages have had a go no one will want to help as they might have to put someone else's mistakes right.

Anyone looked at the rad to make sure thats not blocked.

If it was my one I'd check that the coolant has been filled and no air locks, and the water is circulating. Think the heater controls all have to be set at hot. Feel all the water pipes to see if they are hot.

If that all seems OK a sniff/pressure test to see if the new gasket is OK. All more costs I'm afraid.

Hope someone comes along with more ideas, as I have only read of these problems on here. My one is a derv so not up on the K series 4 pot.

If you Goggle MG garages Leeds comes up with a few, matter of ringing around and try and get a price for sorting it.

Best of luck, sounds a bit of a nightmare!!!
