It's worth re-soldering mate.
my soldering is crap but I still managed it.
You can just solder & not bother with the screws etc
Holds as well as it would originaly

Managed to get a new VIS motor dead cheap, so fitted it

Cleared all faults on the system including the weird Lambda sensor fault????

The joys of 2.5l ownership eh!!

at least its running again.................for now...........

Sounds like you already have if it's now sorted?
Don't get ya?
Was tested on the ECU error codes, but I;m sure it feels no different, well...I have been driving a 98bhp Fiesta 1.4 since Thursday lol

Did you change the correct motor?
I know the chap wouldn't make that schoolboy error

After taking it out again this morning (twice now lol)

It does feel a "little" more responsive lower down the power range, but at 115k it always felt like a new engine anyways

My solder job appears to have lasted a year and a half now ;)

I did remove my balance valve and smooth it down as it was catching the frame, probably why it burned out the tracks IMO

IIRC my power valve vis tracks were fine but the microswitch connections had broken.
