Just seen in the paper today that my local nearest MGR dealer ( a new one) is advertising 75 CDT Conns with the caption that they have 136bhp. News to me , I thought they had 114. Can someone tell me that this is true ( I really wish it was) or has the dealer got it a little wrong???

I have a CDT and have noticed different magazines seem to vary their power quotes from between 114 to 118bhp.
My impression, from the 'official' Rover figures is that it has116bhp so I'm afraid your dealers perhaps made a misprint else he knows something we don't.

If it's any consolation a powertorque box is easily available which boosts the power to 140bhp and 310NM of torque, i.e. greater than the 2.5V6 and without changing the economy much. I have gone down this route with my own car and am very pleased with the result. Feel free to contact me if you wish to know more

Yep, sorry James but unless the car has been tweaked it produces 116 Ps in standard form. Must be a misprint :(
