hi.
i am in need of someone to do a cambelt and look over my car as quite a few things need putting right on it. the car is a mk2 zs 180. i was thinking of using mgrs in high wycombe. anyone got any reviews or comments or recomendations on where to take my car?

Nice to see another ZS owner in Maidenhead. My Mk1 is due a cambelt change soon - I found this place after a quick google: http://www.summitmg.co.uk/

If i remember rightly they quoted me about £600 inc parts and labour to do the belts and waterpump, but I'd also be curious to see if there's anywhere else in the area that'd do it cheaper

look no further, Summit is the ONLY safe and reliable option round here; family business, have been MG specialists for over 20 years, and they have in-depth race experience of Midgets, Fs, ZR etc so they know their stuff. I build my own racers and do own servicing but they have always done the complicated bits on our F and ZS180, I have no hesitation in recommending them.

oh brilliant. i have seen there van and cars drive around alot. there are a couple of places near or in maidenhead that deal with mg's but i know atleast one thats not trustworthy.

would be good to meet some local lads too if you see a mk2 sallon in black with a lip boot spoiler and de bagged thats me

David, you don't work in Bracknell Homebase do you I spoke to a bloke there who had a black MK2 180 that was partially debadged? I am in Warfield, Bracknell and often go to Maidenhead (and spend a lot of time at work driving in that area) so if you see a 180 kitted firefrost MK2 120 with extreme spoiler then give me a wave too!

I was going to suggest Moorside garage on Boyn Valley Road as they gave me a free wheel nut once!
