so i fitted the diffuser i got and it turned out to be very easy. i just cut round the black shape on the mk2 bumper and the clio one slots in, attached it on the corners with small bolts and then made a bracket to attached inside. then 2 more bolts at the back near the anti-roll bar and hey presto. just need a duplex exhaust now! Also pics showing my 9 inch wide btcc wheels and colour coded front splitter. Just fitted new spring rates and have the flywheel to do next week so its getting more and more bits now.

Hope you enjoy.

Damn you beat me to it Ian, but glad you have, at least I have somebody to ask now lol. It really does look good, would be even better with twin exhausts.
Mine will have to wait until my yellow car is finished and then I can get back to the track and sprint car...

Track and Driver mag by the way is here http://www.trackdriver.com/
used to be free but need a subscription it seems now...

renault spent a bit of time in the wind tunnel with the clio 197/200, I would be suprised if it did nothing at all.

The BMW e92 brochure says this
"as part of the M sport pack 'the car features a rear diffuser to increase downforce pressure on the rear axle'"

yet the clio 197/200 diffuser seems much more purposeful than the BMW M-sport rear bumper?

Have you considered just blanking off the second exit? I'd sooner that then the expense of a duplex system. that or just stick a coke can in it to fool people into thinking you have two exhausts.
I will likely get a mold done with modifications so there is no left hand exhaust (smoothed over) as well as a few other bits like extending the undertray to go under the wheel well on a saloon to pick up fixing points and bond to the rear of the inside of the rear bumper.

I will get some pics of mine. I fitted this one to my mk2. It was a compleatl nightmare. Lots of messing about with trimming the bumper and body kit,'. But it's on now, just need to finish off the filling and painting. If I knew how hard it was going to be to do, I wouldn't have bothered...but it look fooking amazing!

What did you need to trim? All I did was trim off the back
Plastic from the mg bumper and the clio bit sat neatly behind one bolt ether side and done. But I've got a hatch and am I right in saying yours is a saloon? Can you post pics as I'm going to be fitting one to my saloon.

am I right in thinking the 197 diffuser is what Ian has, one where the holes for exhaust could be smoothed over and they are grey in colour, whereas the 200 diffuser is gloss black and has the exhaust parts integral which cannot be smoothed over or removed as they are part of the diffuser? - more ideal for a twin exit setup whereas the 197 is better for single exit exhaust?

Spent about 30-35 hours on it I recon. Most of the time was trial fitting and head scratching. Had to mod my back box and refit it higher. Figure out how to get the profile of the diffuser to fit the profile of the bumper (both compleatly different) Bumper had to be trimmed out upto the number plate (not just the black bit) re profile the body kit.

Cut a very long story short its on. I just need now to re aline the bumper sides and some filling and painting. It looks like a oe fit which was the most important thing for me. But never again!! Lol

I will get some better pics when it's clean.
