i bought my MGF in the summer and have insured and taxed it for the yr,but as the weather closes in i am not driving her!
can anyone recommend any car insurance firms that i can use say from may-0ct and then put her away for the winter???
not up for renegotiation till may but need to research or think about selling...:(

We're with Adrian Flux for the ZS. We rang them and said that it's Sorn'd and garaged for the winter and they changed the insurance to cover accidental damage, fire and theft only. The premium dropped from £466 to £100 :)

It's worth phoning your current insurer and seeing if they'll do the same.

I read on another forum, to Google the term 'laid up insurance policy' there are a number of companies offering policy's. I do hope you can keep 'Purdy' and not have to sell! Tracy's advice above seems a good strating point.

Shop around for a classic policy. Peter Best offers them for the zs. You just need to be in the mg owners club.
