Sounds like a plan

Jerry,

sounds like a good idea to me. Is it just me or is this whole thing slowing down, I hardly see any new posts. anyway. Yes I think it would be a good idea to combine the two "areas"

Slowing down - this Forum or the overall Forum?

Yep weekends are slow - log on during lunchtimes during the week! Plus this weekend looks particularly slow - so a vaild statement!

Just took a look at the stats - they are growing on a daily basis - site stats are averaging 78,000 per day with 2 days over 104,000 this month (a first)!

You just need to recruit more members! Do you think it's worth perservering with?

Merging us northern english with the dress wearing ones north of the border. Jerry, I can't believe you just did that. I can never forgive you. You have stooped too low this time.

I may need to have a conflab with my fellow northerners meet forum moderator to seek guidance on recourse action now...see you in court!

A Scottish Meet

Like the sound of the NMGO, but it would also be good to have some impromptu meets somewhere between Glasgow and Edinburgh, I have seen loads in Edinburgh and no doubt loads in Glasgow.

You know half a day or whole day finding some good roads and some fun driving, with beers at night and then perhaps a small morning run?!

I get my new MG ZR 160 on the 14th October and therefore miss out on NMGO#5 meet, but such is life. Getting this seemingly new Royal Blue which looks good I think, and cant wait to get it out on the roads! 3 weeks away though i will go mad until then! :help:

So guys in Scotland e mail me or lets try get the scottish thread back into action and meet up, even if it means going up to guys/gals you see with MG's and suggesting they get their ass onto a P.C and check out the website!!!!

You know it would be an amzing day out with a whole load of MG's in close, but safe, convoy finding some quality roads up here!

LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS!

Scottish Meet

I totally agree with you. I think that an ideal place to meet would be strathclyde country park which sits just of both the m74 and the m8 and is between glasgow and edinburgh. To start with i would say that the meet should only be a one day meet and then we could take it from there if it is a success which it should be. If a scottish meet is going to happen then we need to do it soon as the weather will not be like this for much longer and i do not imagine that there will be to many people up for a meet in a hell of a scottish winters morning.:beerchug

All these things need is someone to make the initial moves. One of you guys pick a date, a time and a meeting point. And let everyone else come along. If they're that interested they will make every effort to move other engagements.

We had a period of messing around before NMGO kick started in April.

Just needs someone to make the first push then it's amazing how easy it all falls into place.

If any of you guys wanna pop down for NMGO #5, by the way, on Sunday 6th October, feel free. Just sign up via the on-line form on www.nmgo.info and we'll see you there.

little warning guys!! im glasgow born and bred, you may see me about cos theres not a lot of antracite zr`s up here (soon to have black lexus lights).

anyway back to the point, strathclyde park used to be the haunt for all the so called baseball capped nova and fiesta crew. they would meet up, burn out tyres and race all nite. so now the place is always being patrolled by the local boys in blue.

not that i am suggesting for a minute anything illegal would happen if there was a meet, but if the cops turned up and saw a load of mg`s in one of the car parks, you would get shifted.

on the plus side there is more and more zed cars up here (i was one of the first!!) and i think it`s just a case of getting the word out there about the forum.

If you guys want somewhere to meet up, you could come along to the next TVR/MG track night at Knockhill. A few people on this forum have been to the previous ones and enjoyed themselves.
Would be nice to see a few more MG's up there.
Date is 4th July, 6pm till 8pm.

HI Claire

I was at the last meet at Knockhill, I did not take the MG on the track but instaed opted to be a spectator.

Everyone appeared to have a great time.

At the last few Knockhill meets there have been half a dozen or so people there that go on the CSMGF runs.

Keep it up

I'm moving from Germany to the Glasgow/Edinburgh area.. If there isnt any MG activity going on I will make it my buisness to jack some up.

We can all get together some time if nothing has started and start our own meets.. Try and get some Track days sorted too:beerchug :beerchug
