I'd like to know an answer to that also, I searched for a way to set the Default Sort list by . . . but drew a blank.
Another possibly dumb question.
When using media player to play saved CDs it plays tracks randomly, can I change something in the set up so it will play track 1, 2, 3, etc

By saved CDs I assume you mean having ripped the CD to the hard drive and playing the wma/mp3 files through media player?
Are you sure it isnt playing the files alphabetically? There's also a randomise playlist button knocking around somewhere.

Just tried it and it seems to be playing in random order
There is something in the Library tab in options that is to do with 'rearrange music in rip music folder', maybe try that. Hope that helps, wortha try I suppose!
Mmmmm, just had a look at that and it doesn't seem to make any difference (to playback at least)
