Whilst returning from Oxford late lastnight to Lincoln I couldn't resist "putting anumber " on a ZS180. It felt good. There's life in the old dog yet!

Now then Roady, do we honestly believe a "Barge" can outdo the performance bargain of the millenium. Or have you had the 2.0 AER engine fitted that you have always talked about? :D

Are you sure it was a 180 and not a 120? Yours would have to be a 2.5 V6 manual to even be on nodding terms with a ZS180, mind you if yours is well run-in and the ZS was new, then I suppose it's possible.
Was this on long staright roads or the nice twisty ones in Lincolnshire?

On the twisty bits the suspension set up would need to be good to keep up with a ZS, I always thought that a R75 was sprung more for comfort than performance.
OK, it was on a straight and it was on the ring road around Oxford. The BARGE is a 2.0 V6 with 26,000 miles on board. Must admit it wasn't the ideal conditions for driving lastnight, dark, wet and windy. However, I suppose it's down to the driving talents!

Are all ZS drivers ex MGB drivers I ask myself.

NB - one for JLD. Where do you live in Lincolnshire? Ever drove from Waddington along the A607 and then on to Colsterworth via Ancaster. Now that is twisty, up and down dale stuff.
Jim

I actually live in S****horpe but get down to Lincoln frequently, often doing some outdoor leader training for Lincs County Council Youth Service..

We tend to use centres at Waddington, Grantham and Sleaford so I am familiar with the roads around there.

By the way my ZS is my first MG, owned various cars in the pastincluding Rovers. My 2 seater experience was owning a Europa a few years ago
John - I think I know where you live. Isn't there an estate named after aircraft types in your area?
Jim,

Can't think of such an estate, if there is it must be across town somewhere. Everything around here is named after trees and similar stuff.
