of course not, its £12k for 220bhp with hardly any of the extras in the 300kit.

build one yourself for 1/4 of the price.

Its a 1.7 aswell, even less capacity, I would personally prefer a 1.9 N/A 4 pot in a Z, I bet a VVC 1.9 with a few mods could see 190bhp and be lighter than the KV6.

And if we had more funds again, would we still try to get silly power from a KV6?

There's still a difference between 4 cylinders and 6. I've grown to like 6 . . . a lot but can still see the obvious attraction of the VAG conversion.
