Following events at MG Rover
and Powertrain Ltd over the weekend, PTP would like to clarify their situation
regarding the supply of PTP Performance product and components.
Whilst PTP are contracted by Powertrain Ltd to supply engines and gearboxes to
OE Manufacturers, PTP are an independent company and are part of Trinity Motors
Group. Neither MG Rover nor Powertrain Ltd have any financial involvement in
our company whatsoever.
Our Performance products have been developed by us over a number of years and
supplied to OE customers as well as an ever expanding retail market. These
products are owned by PTP and supply is not affected by the unfortunate
situation at Longbridge.
In September last year, Xpart Ltd (a subsidiary of Caterpillar Logistics)
acquired the MG Rover Parts business from MG Rover and the entire parts
inventory was transferred to the Caterpillar warehouse in Desford, thus assuring
the ongoing supply of components for Rover vehicles and K series engines.
Therefore we continue to offer full parts availability to our trade and retail
customers.
