Basic Background
The car I bought was advertised on EBay during January 2004. I thought the car was sold, however I e-mailed the seller with my telephone number and later he contacted me telling me the car was available once more! It was a basic Clubman car that had been very well looked after with only 300 miles showing. Only downside was that it was fitted with 4 Front Tarmac wheels!

I found that the owner hadn't registered it at all over the last 2 years of ownership. This was highlighted following an HPI check that I conducted. We agreed that TAL should carry out some remedial work to ensure that the car would not be damaged before I started to use it. It also gave me the opportunity to sit tight until Mark (the previous owner) registered it.

The transaction went through smoothly and the workshops of Bromsgrove sorted the car.  Primarily, replacing fluids and giving it a good check over. Dave Pearson, said the car had a minor oil leak which he said he would sort out. In the meantime I was advised that it would be sensible to fit power steering while it was off the road. This was after Michael Pearson mentioned that its was a bit of handful after they took it up to get an MOT!
